Warsaw Quest

Our main goal was to design an engaging tourist tool that, in a light, gamified form, will encourage visitors to discover Warsaw. WarsawQuest is an interactive quiz created at the request of the Warsaw Tourist Information (go2warsaw.pl), which, based on the user's answers, matches them with one of four "tourist types" referring to Warsaw legends – the Mermaid, Wars and Sawa, the Golden Duck, and the Basilisk – and then presents a personalized list of attractions tailored to their sightseeing style. The premise of the project was to combine the official, urban character of the brand with an accessible, playful form of communication that works well both on a desktop and on the phone of a tourist strolling through the city.

We based the visual identity on the coat of arms of Warsaw and its symbolism, translating the four urban legends into four distinct, vibrant color variants of the heraldic shield – each with its own illustration and personality. The heart of the project is a quiz with a progress bar and clear single-choice questions, designed so that going through it is fast and intuitive even on a small smartphone screen. The result page presents the matched "tourist type" along with a description, a social media share button, and a filterable list of recommended attractions (Copernicus Science Centre, Museum of World of Illusion, and others) with links to details and navigation. The homepage is complemented by a counter of quiz completions broken down by types, building a social element and encouraging subsequent users to check their own result.

We implemented the project in a fully responsive manner, using subdued typography (Engram) and strong, contrasting heraldic colors, which give the website a recognizable, urban character while maintaining a modern, digital aesthetic.
